50-year-old Emeka Moscow Ani nabbed for drug dealing was remanded in custody following his court appearance at the Standerton Magistrate’s Court.
Ani was arrested by the Police after being found in possession of a variety of suspected substances valued at approximately R15,000 on the street.

The arrest came after the Standerton and Ermelo K9 Unit, acting on information from Standerton Crime Intelligence, apprehended the suspect on Thursday, 27 July 2023, around 11:30 am.
He was allegedly using a silver Hyundai Atos in the central business district of Standerton.
Upon investigation, the police discovered about 99 sachets of substances suspected to be Nyaope, weighing approximately 72 grams, two sachets of substances suspected to be Crystal Meth, weighing about 14 grams, and seven sachets of substances suspected to be Cat, weighing about 18 grams.
The substances and the suspect’s vehicle were confiscated for further investigation, and the police are collaborating with the department of Home Affairs to determine his status in South Africa.
Lieutenant General Semakaleng Daphney Manamela, the Provincial Commissioner of the SAPS in Mpumalanga, emphasized the commitment of the police to work closely with communities in combating drug trafficking.
