Lynn Forbes, the late rapper AKA’s mother, has created Outspoken Owls, a new podcast that tries to reimagine what it means to be a middle-aged woman.
Lynn will be joined by Katie Mohamed as they attempt to have open dialogues, following in the footsteps of podcasts.

Katie and Lynn, a dynamic duo with outspoken voices, have drawn on their expertise to freely explore events and present a fresh way of perceiving the world.
“We are thrilled to launch Outspoken Owls and look forward to sharing insights and experiences via storytelling to our audience,” remarks Katie, the executive director at Brandfusion and founder of W-Suite — a women empowerment initiative.
Outspoken Owls provides unabashed, opinionated, entertaining, educational, and engaging discussion and tête-à-tête. Each episode is not directly about women, but there is a deliberate emphasis on women’s issues.
“Women will relate to the podcast — but many men will learn from it,” Katie joked. And I believe both of those audiences are significant.”
Lynn, who is also a wellness coach and motivational speaker, expressed her hope that the podcast will spark conversation between listeners and the hosts.
“We have stories to share that I feel will inspire our audience, but we also want to learn from our audience, whether they relate to our shared experiences.”
Katie and Lynn will assist you in lugging the heavy so that we can tug life a little lighter, braver, unrestrained, and less alone.
