Recently, CCTV footage has emerged of the two individuals who broke into SA Rugby’s headquarters in Plattekloof.
The incident occurred on Monday when these two men unlawfully entered SARU House and proceeded to steal a number of items.

Fortunately, the Rugby World Cup trophy, which the Springboks had just won by defeating the All Blacks in Paris, was safely secured and not taken.

A video, shared on X (formerly known as Twitter) by Yusuf Abramjee, shows the two robbers breaking into SA Rugby’s offices and rummaging through various desks and cabinets. They even attempted to steal an unidentified trophy on display.
The police have confirmed that the stolen items include five signed Springbok jerseys, whisky, and eight laptops belonging to SA Rugby. Additionally, another company within the building had 60 laptops taken.
Following the incident, two cases of business burglary have been registered with the police. Authorities are urging anyone with information about the robbery to contact the investigating officer at 082 777 8499 or Crime Stop at 08600 10111.
