Mashava emphasised the concern for the safety of the kidnapped employee and condemned the violent crime committed against City Power’s staff.
SurgeZirc SA has reached out to the SA Police Service (SAPS) for a formal comment on the matter. The incident follows closely after another violent incident in Lehae, near Lenasia, where two individuals were shot dead during a charity drive.
Teboho Joala, an executive at Rand Water, and his bodyguard were killed, while Joburg chief whip Sithembiso Zungu was wounded.
These incidents highlight the need for increased security measures and vigilance in the area. The safety of employees and the community must be a top priority, and authorities should take swift action to apprehend the criminals responsible for these acts of violence.
