In yet another tragic shooting incident in KwaZulu-Natal, a woman was fatally shot on Tuesday morning, according to paramedics.
The incident occurred on Edwin Swales Drive in Durban, near South Coast Road, at around 6:30 am. The woman, who was walking at the time, was targeted and shot.
ALS Paramedics Medical Services promptly responded to the scene, where they found the police already present.
The paramedics assessed the woman, believed to be in her early 30s, and unfortunately, she had suffered a gunshot wound to her head. Tragically, she showed no signs of life and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The exact circumstances leading to the incident are currently unknown. The South African Police Service (SAPS) were present at the scene and will be conducting further investigations.
In another shooting incident in Durban, the police are actively searching for the perpetrators who opened fire on three men outside a shop in Isipingo.
Sadly, two of the men lost their lives, while a third individual was rushed to the hospital in critical condition.
According to Constable Thenjiswa Ngcobo, a police spokesperson, reports suggest that the three men were standing outside a business premises in Lotus Park when they were shot by the assailants.
The victims who died were aged 35 and 40, and the motive behind the shooting remains unknown. The police are conducting investigations into this case as well.
