In a recent online article titled “Emtee is a drug addict and he abused me,” Emtee’s estranged wife, Nicole Kendall Chinsamy, made serious allegations against the multi-award-winning rapper.
The article unveiled Chinsamy’s statement to the police regarding a gender-based violence (GBV) case she filed against Emtee in March.
Upon coming across the article, Emtee took to Twitter and openly admitted to using drugs, shedding light on his personal struggles. One particular substance mentioned in the context is “Lean,” a well-known concoction of Codeine cough syrup and soda.
It is commonly referred to as “Purple Drank” or “Sizzurp.”

Reports suggest that Lean is predominantly popular among teenagers and young adults, often consumed at parties or social gatherings.
Emtee’s affinity for cannabis is no secret to his fans, as he has frequently been seen smoking it during his Instagram Live sessions.
While Chinsamy, who was seven months pregnant at the time, accused the “Roll Up” hitmaker of physical abuse and regular drug use, she did not disclose whether the “drugs” consumed by Emtee extended beyond the now legalized marijuana.
Following Emtee’s tweet, the majority of his fans expressed support and encouragement in the comments. However, a few individuals raised concerns about the possibility of his drug use extending beyond cannabis.
