Elon Musk has achieved a net worth that is more than double of Mark Zuckerberg’s. Musk’s wealth has soared by $106 billion this year, reaching an impressive $243 billion.
Meanwhile, Zuckerberg’s net worth stands at $106 billion, after gaining $60 billion due to the rise in Meta stock.
Amid the surge in sign-ups for Meta’s Threads, the newly launched Twitter competitor, Mark Zuckerberg seemingly added salt to the wound by tweeting a Spider-Man meme to commemorate the platform’s release on Wednesday.
Although the launch of Threads may have irked Musk, leading him to send a cease-and-desist letter to the Meta CEO, he still maintains an advantage over Zuckerberg.
Musk’s net worth has witnessed a remarkable increase of $106 billion this year, bringing it to $243 billion.
The majority of Musk’s wealth is tied to his stake in Tesla, which experienced a staggering 153% surge in shares this year, resulting in a valuation of $860 billion as of Friday.
Meta is not far behind Tesla, with its stock climbing 132% this year, contributing to a valuation of $744 billion.
Tensions have grown between the two billionaires over Meta’s new platform, with Musk accusing the company of hiring former Twitter employees to develop the “copycat” app.
“Musk tweeted, ‘Threads is just Instagram minus pics, which doesn’t make sense since thirst pics are the main reason people use that app. How many times have you read comments on Insta pics and wished there were more? Personally, never.’”

This situation adds another layer of intrigue to the planned cage fight between the billionaires, after Zuckerberg seemingly accepted Musk’s invitation to settle their differences in a public battle.
“Musk tweeted, ‘I’m up for a cage match if he is lol,’” to which Zuckerberg swiftly responded on an Instagram story, saying, “Send Me Location.” Moreover, Meta and Twitter has not responded to SurgeZirc SA’s requests for comments.
