A 26-year-old individual has been arrested following a shooting incident in Lentegeur, Mitchells Plain.
The incident occurred on Friday night, resulting in the deaths of three people and leaving two others with severe gunshot injuries.
According to the South African Police Service (SAPS) spokesperson Brig Novela Potelwa, the suspects entered a house on Poppy Street in Lentegeur and fired multiple shots.
The victims, aged 14, 16, and 46, tragically lost their lives. Two teenagers, aged 15 and 18, sustained multiple gunshot wounds and were transported to a medical facility for treatment.
The suspects fled the scene following the shooting. The SAPS Anti-Gang Unit is investigating the incident, which involves three murder charges and two attempted murder charges.
One suspect, aged 26, has been apprehended, while two other suspects are still being sought. The authorities believe that the shooting is connected to gang activity.
