SuperSport United head coach, Gavin Hunt, has finally opened up about the much-discussed transfer of 29-year-old forward, Terrence Dzvukamanja, who recently joined the team from Orlando Pirates.
Dzvukamanja, a Zimbabwe-born player, signed a deal to join Matsatsantsa as a free agent after his contract with the Buccaneers expired at the end of the last season.

However, his departure from Pirates was shrouded in controversy, as the club expressed surprise at SuperSport United’s approach for the player.
It was reported that Dzvukamanja had expressed his desire to return to Zimbabwe for the next campaign, and Pirates had been attempting to find an amicable solution to his “personal” decision.
Despite this, SuperSport United managed to secure the forward’s services, much to Pirates’ shock.
Gavin Hunt, known for his outspoken nature, has now shed light on his knowledge of the Dzvukamanja deal, stating that he is fully aware of the situation but is unable to disclose the details at this time.
Addressing the media at their camp in Durban, Hunt expressed that despite the media backlash, he is at peace with his conscience, having known the truth of the matter from the beginning. He emphasized that the team’s focus is on moving forward.
Furthermore, Hunt expressed his commitment to helping Dzvukamanja adapt to his new environment quickly. He revealed that he had previously attempted to bring the forward to the club during the January transfer window.
This marks the second time that Hunt has signed Dzvukamanja, having previously brought him to the now-defunct Wits in the 2018-19 season.
During his previous stint under Hunt’s guidance, Dzvukamanja showcased impressive performances, contributing to 21 goals (15 goals, 6 assists) in 60 appearances.
