A gunman allegedly opened fire on patrons at Nkadimeng Tavern in Soshanguve Block P, north of Pretoria, injuring at least 15 people.
The event occurred shortly after 22:30 on Sunday, June 11, and CCTV footage has been shared widely on social media sites.
A white polo sedan can be seen parking outside Nkadimeng Tavern in the videos, followed by a few men. One of the men walks ahead and rushes inside the tavern to greet other customers while adjusting his balaclava. It is unclear whether the two men that followed him are his accomplices.
Several patrons outside can be seen snatching their drinks and fleeing for their lives as the men pass. While people are enjoying their drinks, the gunman begins shooting at random within the establishment. Several attempt to find shelter, but the gunman continues to fire around the room, leaving them lying on the couches on the floor.
