Currently, SkhandaWorld Record is home to two artists, Roiii and Loki. However, with the recent departure of Ma-E, JustBheki, and DJ Mr X, K.O and his team found themselves at a crossroads. Should they terminate the contracts of Roiii and Loki or explore other options?
In a meeting aired on BET’s Inside Life With K.O reality show, K.O’s manager, Tsholofelo Moremedi, and SkhandaWorld Record Label Manager, Gobbs, discussed the future of the label and its artists. The question of whether to terminate the contracts was on the table.
Gobbs asked K.O, “What I want to understand is, going into it, that so just we’re aligned should we decide to terminate, what’s the way forward?”
K.O’s response was clear – they couldn’t afford to part ways with the current artists. They were still in the process of building and needed to keep the momentum going. Instead of terminating contracts, K.O proposed the addition of another artist to the lineup.
“Truly speaking, because we’re still building a label, we might find ourselves having to add another person (an artist),” K.O explained. “We have the two gents, but that’s all we have. If it was working smoothly and we were seeing returns, we wouldn’t be having this conversation. We would just move forward.”

K.O’s vision for the label’s expansion included the addition of a female artist. He believed that it would not only diversify the roster but also bring a fresh perspective to the team.
“We also have to consider that it would work in our favor if we look for someone else to add to the roster. It doesn’t have to be an immediate thing, but it has to happen. Definitely, it has to be a female,” K.O added.
Moremedi, K.O’s manager, shared the same sentiment. She believed that introducing a female artist to SkhandaWorld would bring a touch of softness and add a unique dynamic to the team.
“We are really looking into getting a female artist. I think it would be dope and bring some softness to the team,” Moremedi expressed.
