A landlord was arrested in Daveyton for allegedly assaulting his tenant due to non-payment of rent According to a report by the Ekurhuleni Metro Police Department (EMPD).
The officers received information about the location of a suspect sought for arrest, following a charge of common assault that was levied against the suspect.

The information was followed up, and the suspect was arrested on Kwena Street in Daveyton without resistance from him.
The allegations against the landlord suggest that the assault was a result of the tenant’s failure to pay rent.
