Biography
Mome Mahlangu is a fashion designer, stylist, television personality, author, and businesswoman. She is also known as the estranged wife of comedian Tall Azz Mo and the mother of the famous child star Khumo Mahlangu. Mome gained fame after appearing in the show Cream Cartel in 2009.
She went on to star alongside her husband, Tall Azz Mo, and their children in the show Mo Love airing on Vuzu. The first season followed their impending wedding and was renewed by the channel. She has also been featured in The Real Jozi A-Listers, a comedy reality parody series. The show also starred big names in the entertainment industry, including her husband Tol A$$ Mo, Trevor Gumbi, Da L.E.S., and Maps Maponyane.
It featured thirteen episodes aired on Vuzu Amp in 2014 and was renewed the following year, in 2015, on Vuzu. Mome appeared as a prankster in the first two seasons of her husband’s show #YouGotGot, which aired on MTV. She helped prank several South African celebrities while a hidden camera recorded their reactions. Mome also appeared on MTV Round Table and South Africa Reality TV Stars Round Table.
Mome created her own fashion line called Mrs. Mome Collection. She also runs a weight loss business.

Mome Mahlangu is the wife of famous South African comedian Tall Azz Mo. She stood by her man through several accusations, including that of sexual assault by model Lerato Moloi in 2020.
She called out bullies in a post shared on Instagram, saying,
We will not participate in kangaroo court, but the real Court as these Allegations are not to be taken lightly, and as a woman myself I’m disturbed and I have taken jabs from the kangaroo court as they Are the investigators…[sic] ,”
She also thanked those who analyzed the situation with a mature eye. “Thank u for those who have had a mature eye with this … our children are home schooling and well taken care of at home as being in public is currently dangerous for us and especially @keithrsa , my family and my father in-laws family and our close friends have been with us,”
Tall Azz Mo announced in July 2023 that he and Mome were separated and going through a divorce after nearly 14 years together. He opened up about it on WAW! with DJ FRESH (What a Week!) saying;
“Currently, Mome and I are separated, and we are in the process of filing divorce. We grew apart, and the most important thing about this separation is the respect between the two of us…”
“We have reached a point where things are just not working between the two of us… It’s me that is walking away; I am traumatized by black women… I am tramatised to the point that I don’t want to be with a black woman, and Mome is not part of my trauma,”

Mome and Tall Azz Mo have three children. They include a son and two daughters, Thandolwethu, Khumo, and TeAmo. Their son TK matriculated in January 2022. Their first daughter Khumo Mahlangu is a famous child star who gained fans at a young age.
Siblings
Not much is known about Mome’s siblings. However, she was so close to SA rapper Riky Rick that she called him her brother.
