Pauline Amelinckx, the Philippine contestant, showcased her outstanding performance at the Miss Supranational 2023 international pageant held in Poland on Saturday, July 15 (Philippine time). While she secured the position of first runner-up, the crown was bestowed upon Ecuador’s Andrea Aguilera as Miss Supranational 2023.
The second runner-up title was awarded to Sancler Frantz Konzen from Brazil, and Emma Rose Collingridge from the United Kingdom claimed the third position, with Dang Thanh Ngan of Vietnam securing the fourth spot.
The top 12 contestants who made it to the prestigious list were Vietnam, Brazil, the Netherlands, Peru, Ecuador, the United Kingdom, the Philippines, the Dominican Republic, India, Mexico, Puerto Rico, and Gibraltar.
Amelinckx was honored with the esteemed Supra Chat Winner special prize. During the pageant, she expressed her belief that candidates can derive inspiration and knowledge from various mentors, harnessing their abilities and insights to showcase their best selves on stage. According to Amelinckx, the diverse perspectives and expertise provided by different individuals play a vital role in the pageant industry.
When asked about a rule that should be implemented universally, Amelinckx advocated for a law granting everyone access to healthcare. She emphasized the significance of equitable healthcare, especially in the aftermath of the pandemic. Amelinckx believes that providing healthcare to all is essential for individuals to lead their best lives and ensure widespread well-being.
In May, following her participation in the Miss Universe Philippines 2023 coronation night, Amelinckx was crowned as Miss Supranational Philippines 2023. Notably, this marked the first Miss Supranational title for the Philippines since Mutya Datul’s victory in 2013.
