Pearl Thusi has finally explained herself after she was dragged online for chilling and taking photographs with tyrannic Zimbabwe President Emmerson Mnangagwa and his officials ahead of the country’s election.
The “Queen Sono” star claimed that a group of regional journalists, artists, and celebrities who visited Zimbabwe on a poorly organized public relations and marketing tour ahead of crucial elections under the guise of tourism promotion were not given full disclosure prior to the trip.

She claims they were ambushed and ended up in a highly charged position at State House, awkwardly interacting with the tyrant, President Emmerson Mnangagwa and his Minister of Information, Monica Mutsvangwa, among other top officials.
Public indignation arose when some journalists crossed the line by controversially donning Mnangagwa’s scarf and posing for selfies at the State House with the dictator sitting amongst them for photo shoots.
The tour, which began in Victoria Falls, quickly devolved into a farcical Mnangagwa show, with the journalists and every other person who went ending up at the President’s Pracabe Farm in Sherwood, Kwekwe, amid a mounting storm of controversy and public outrage.

In one of the pictures that went viral on social media Pearl Thusi was seen sitting next to the president of Zimbabwe, Sello Maake KaNcube and other officials. It gets worse as she’s seen in the pic flaunting the ZANU PF scarf alongside everyone in the pic.
These arouse anger, considering the current economic instability which has seen millions of Zimbabweans leaving the country for survival.
