
Fanie Masemola, the national police commissioner, assured South Africans that police will soon make a breakthrough in the case of Kiernan ‘AKA’ Forbes and his friend Tebello’ Tibz’ Motsoane.
Masemola briefed the media on various police matters on Friday.

It’s been over five months since the two were fatally shot outside Wish restaurant on Durban’s popular Florida Road.
The restaurant has since permanently closed its doors.
The deaths of the two celebrities have sparked widespread speculation, conjecture, and conspiracy theories on social media.
Allegations were also made on social media accusing the father of Forbes’ late fiancé Anele Tembe of being behind the killing of the hip-hop star.
Moses Tembe, on the other hand, dismissed the claims as cruel and libellous.
Some media outlets stated a month ago that a firearm was sent for ballistic testing and was identified as the weapon used to shoot the two celebrities.
However, KwaZulu-Natal police denied the allegations, stating that they are making good progress in their investigation and will make the information public when the time comes.

KZN police commissioner Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi stated that some people in Gauteng and KZN have already been interviewed weeks after the celebrities’ deaths.
Masemola assured the media that a breakthrough in the case was imminent.
“We know who we are looking for, it is a matter of just rounding all of them.
We know exactly who we are looking for, that I can assure you, we know where we are going,” he said.
