In an alleged hunting accident on Koekoeskop farm near Northam in Limpopo, a young father was shot and killed by his wife.
The shooting occurred last week, according to reports, while their three-year-old son was there.

According to Netwerk24, Freek Kloppers, 31, was shot and killed by his wife Megen (25) on his farm in Limpopo last week on Tuesday.
There were other witnesses, according to the report.
Megen was arrested shortly after the shooting and has subsequently been charged with culpable homicide and illegal possession of a firearm and ammunition. The case has been rescheduled for Wednesday. It is not known when she will apply for bail.
Pieter Kloppers, Freek’s father, informed the publication that his son was shot in the upper body.
He said that the group was not on a hunting expedition but was simply out for a drive when they noticed and hunted the porcupine.
Freek was characterised as a gentleman who was always eager to assist others.
Later this week, he will be laid to rest. His mother, Hanlie, and two brothers, Theuns (28) and Pieter (24), survive him.
