Social Development Minister Lindiwe Zulu has encouraged youths who receive grants to see beyond their current situations and concentrate on creating a better future for themselves.
Zulu shared these sentiments while attending the Youth Day event in Mangaung, where Deputy President Paul Mashatile is scheduled to deliver a speech commemorating the 47th anniversary of the Soweto uprisings.
Zulu has motivated young individuals to explore various career options available to them. She mentioned that the government has implemented programs aimed at addressing youth unemployment.
“I am urging them to consider that not everyone has to attend university; some may choose to enroll in technikons or start their own businesses. We have brought them here to expose them to opportunities for their future, and they will have the chance to explore different stands to see what lies beyond their current circumstances.”
