According to reports, former fugitive Doctor Nandipha Magudumana is planning to challenge the high court decision declaring her arrest in Tanzania illegal.
Magudumana was ordered to remain in detention on Monday by the Free State High Court in Bloemfontein, after Judge Philip Loubser denied her urgent application.

Magudumana was fighting her arrest and deportation in the hopes of getting released.
According to immigration lawyer Gary Eisenberg, if the disgraced doctor goes to the Supreme Court of Appeal, no new evidence can be introduced.
“No new evidence can be introduced. There is not going to be an examination of witnesses at an appeal court level, and therefore you’re stuck with the record. If there is going to be any kind of impugning of the judge’s fact or findings, it must be on the same record.”

Magudumana is being held in the Free State’s Kroonstad Correctional Facility.
